People do not do adrenalin sports because of the danger. They do them because the absolute focus required makes them feel intensely, undeniably alive. I invite you to challenge yourself next time you are on the mat weather it is Yoga or Pilates with a fairly advanced posture. Many of us never attempt these postures because we do not practice them and we do not practice them because well we cannot do them. Rather than face the discomfort of experiencing ourselves, or, if we do challenge ourselves, we quickly give up, annoyed and uncomfortable with our efforts. We cannot know, in the beginning, just how good we are going to feel when our fumbling and awkward failures slowly transform into mastery. Understand that it is okay to develop what you can do instead of fretting about what you cannot, and to work patiently through regardless of how long it takes. It is only in your thriving that you have anything to offer anyone. So if you want to be an advantage to yourself and others, be as tapped in, tuned in as you can possibly be.
Namaste
Libby xoxo
